My client is a specialist civil engineering subcontractor delivering complex infrastructure and structural works on major UK projects. Known for technical precision and innovative methods, they work closely with Tier 1 contractors to support the successful delivery of large-scale civil engineering packages.

They’re currently expanding their in-house design capability and are looking to appoint a CAD Engineer to support the delivery of complex structural and civil engineering packages.

This is an office-based role and joining a close-knit team, you will play a key part in developing detailed 2D and 3D models across a range of reinforced concrete, structural steel, and temporary works schemes.

YOUR NEW ROLE

As a CAD Engineer, you’ll be responsible for producing and managing a range of civil and structural drawings and 3D models.

You’ll use the latest Autodesk tools to deliver BIM Level 2-compliant outputs for permanent and temporary works (from early concept through to as-built)

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed drawings from engineering sketches, markups, and site measurements
• Prepare construction details for reinforced concrete, steelwork, and temporary works
• Develop and manage 3D models and 2D outputs using Autodesk software within a Common Data Environment (CDE)
• Work independently or within multidisciplinary teams to meet project deadlines
• Ensure all CAD outputs meet company QA processes, client requirements, and BIM protocols

ABOUT YOU

• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, and AutoCAD
• Experience working on civil/structural engineering projects
• Strong understanding of BIM Level 2 standards and digital workflows
• Good communication skills and ability to work within design teams
