Working Hours:

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Job Description:

As a Design Engineer, you will take responsibility for allocated projects, ensuring timely delivery from concept through to completion. You will work closely with project managers and lead engineers, supporting live and forecasted programs of work.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

* Completing design tasks across various projects

* Liaising with project managers and design leads to ensure smooth handovers

* Producing accurate technical drawings and checking them before approval and manufacture

* Offering site support where required

* Providing weekly updates on project progress

* Communicating directly with customers to resolve technical queries

This Design Engineer role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and being involved across multiple aspects of a business.

Skills & Experience:

To be successful as a Design Engineer, you should demonstrate:

* HNC, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in Engineering/Manufacturing

* Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD systems (AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred, Revit advantageous)

* Good knowledge of design engineering principles and building systems (composite panels desirable, not essential)

* Strong computer literacy, including MS Office

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Strong time management with the ability to meet tight deadlines

* A proactive and self-driven approach, with attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
