Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

An opportunity to join a busy in-house legal team based in Norwich - Our client is involved with manufacturing - retail and supplying the public sector within the construction sector. We are looking for an experienced Paralegal and the role will include the following:

  • Primarily to take a leading role within the team, advising on Legal matters and Legislation where required;
  • Dealing with all aspects of pre-action correspondence in a timely and cost-effective fashion to achieve a commercially beneficial outcome;
  • Case management and drafting all Court documents including but not limited to POC, Defences, Statements, Costs Schedules; 
  • Drafting payment agreements and thereafter the collection of those payments from Client debtors, ensuring that all administration is completed and systems are accurately updated;
  • Provide a leading role in the commencement and or defence of Court Claims, maintaining a clear and effective Court file;
  • To deal with matters relating to chargebacks and claims under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, including Rebuttals and thereafter escalation to Arbitration.

You will need the following experience:

  • Experience of Debt Recovery or Litigation or relevant legal casework experience
  • Ideally with LPC commercial litigation elective or non graduate with a minimum Unit 15 CILEX Diploma
  • Persuasive and inclusive style
