About the Opportunity

A supported accommodation service in the Congleton and Macclesfield areas is looking for a proactive Team Leader (Support Work) to guide a team delivering safe, consistent, and person-centred support. This role suits someone with a background in supported living, housing services, or security-led environments who enjoys leading from the front and supporting vulnerable adults.

Role Overview

As the Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for overseeing staff performance, ensuring resident safety, and maintaining a calm and structured environment across evenings, nights, and weekends. You’ll act as the first point of contact for incidents, support staff with decision-making, and ensure the service runs smoothly at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Guidance

  • Lead and motivate support and concierge staff during shifts
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and problem-solving support
  • Ensure consistent service delivery and a positive team culture
  • Manage escalations and oversee incident responses

Safety, Welfare & Building Oversight

  • Ensure the building remains safe and secure
  • Manage visitor access and oversee entry protocols
  • Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns or emergencies
  • Maintain accurate incident logs, records, and handover notes

Resident Engagement & Support

  • Provide a visible, approachable presence within the service
  • Respond to resident concerns and wellbeing needs
  • Work collaboratively with support teams and managers
  • Help cultivate a respectful, supportive, and stable living environment

Administration & Compliance

  • Keep detailed records, reports, and shift handovers
  • Ensure staff follow all policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards
  • Support the monitoring of compliance and service quality

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Experience in supported accommodation, housing services, or concierge/security roles
  • Previous experience leading or supervising staff
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable adults
  • Ability to stay calm, organised, and professional in challenging situations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident completing accurate reports and documentation
