United Marble, a second generation family-owned and operated natural stone company, is hiring a Staff Accountant. This role manages the daily operations of the business accounting working within our industry-specific ERP system. Management of all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets, reconciliation, monthly, quarterly, and annual close, AR/AP, GL, payroll, taxes, and reporting. This role reports to and interacts daily with company ownership. The ideal candidate is a process-driven individual who can develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information. The ideal candidate will prioritize strong working capital management and strategic profitability initiatives. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the business accounting including: Month-end and year-end process, bank reconciliation, AP/AR, Billing, inventory management, GL/P&L, Balance Sheet, weekly payroll, budgeting, cash forecasting, job costing Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements Master our industry-specific ERP system and lead the team forward with full implementation across all departments of the company Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles in line with GAAP Coordinate and complete annual audits in collaboration with outside accounting firm Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, Staff Accountant Advanced computer skills including G-Suite, accounting softwares Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to lead, train, and supervise Job Type: Full-time, Part-time
