About the Role

We are seeking a passionate English Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 for a maternity cover starting in April 2026 and running until December 2026.

You will join a school that prides itself on offering well‑structured curriculum pathways, strong pastoral support, and a warm, collaborative staff culture. The English department is part of a broad, well-resourced curriculum designed to inspire creativity, effective communication, and academic ambition.

This is a full-time teaching commitment for the duration of the maternity period.

Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from you if you:

Hold QTS or equivalent
Have recent experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
Can confidently deliver the KS3-KS4 curriculum
Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
Are enthusiastic about fostering students' love of literature, language, and creative expression
Work well as part of a supportive and values-driven team
