The company: Our client is a British, privately owned international clinical services and infrastructure provider is seeking a Technical Projects Manager to join their mobile projects team. With a growing global workforce and a strong commitment to patient-focused innovation, the organisation delivers modular and mobile healthcare facilities—including Operating Theatres, Wards, Endoscopy Suites, and Diagnostic Units—to clients across the UK and internationally.
Job Duties
This is a key operational role supporting the full lifecycle of healthcare infrastructure projects, from initial site surveys to final delivery and installation. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, sales teams, and project managers to ensure technical accuracy, operational efficiency, and high-quality service delivery.
The Technical Projects Manager will be responsible for assessing client sites, producing technical documentation, and managing the delivery and installation of mobile and modular healthcare facilities. The role requires strong coordination skills, technical insight, and the ability to travel extensively.
This role involves frequent travel across the UK and occasional international assignments. The post holder must be comfortable spending extended periods away from home and working outside standard hours, including weekends.
Duties (include but are not limited to):
- Conduct site surveys and produce detailed reports and layout drawings
- Provide technical support to sales and client teams during project planning
- Attend client meetings to discuss operational and technical requirements
- Update technical drawings and documentation based on client feedback
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the delivery and installation of mobile facilities
- Support modular facility planning and coordination as needed
- Prepare risk assessments and method statements for operational teams
- Ensure health and safety compliance during delivery and installation
- Occasionally act as escort driver for mobile unit transport
Applicant Specification
Essential:
- Experience in construction, logistics, engineering, or technical industries
- Strong planning and coordination skills
- Effective communicator with ability to tailor technical content to varied audiences
- Experience working with external clients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
- Strong written communication skills
Desirable:
- Technical qualifications or background
- Project management experience
- AutoCAD proficiency (training available)
- Experience with mobile or modular facilities
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety management
- Understanding of abnormal load logistics and large vehicle manoeuvrability
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- IOSH qualification
- Familiarity with Six Sigma / LEAN methodology
- Experience with ISO frameworks
