Structured Cabling Engineer

Odin Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong installation and troubleshooting experience within structured cabling environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality structured cabling installations while supporting project planning and onsite coordination.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct site surveys and attend pre-installation meetings

* Plan cable routes and resolve any building or logistical challenges during installation

* Provide leadership and guidance to the project delivery team on-site

* Install structured cabling systems (CAT6 / CAT6A / CAT7)

* Install secondary containment systems including basket, trunking, conduit, and copex where required

* Install floor-mounted communication cabinets and server racks

* Terminate, test, and label cables within patch panels and data outlets

* Perform cable tracing and fault finding to diagnose and resolve network issues

Skills & Experience Required

* Proven experience working as a Structured Cabling Engineer or Data Cabling Engineer

* Strong knowledge of structured cabling installation standards and best practices

* Experience installing and terminating CAT6, CAT6A, or CAT7 cabling

* Ability to test, trace, and fault-find data cabling

* Experience installing containment systems and comms cabinets

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
