Road Freight Import Clerk

We are recruiting for a Road Freight Import Clerk to join our client’s busy and growing team based near Sunbury on Thames. This is a great opportunity for someone with import experience to manage shipments efficiently and develop their career in a supportive environment.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage road freight import shipments from arrival to delivery
• Prepare and submit customs entries accurately and on time
• Liaise with transport providers and clients
• Handle invoices, quotations, and costing for shipments
• Track shipments and resolve any delays or issues promptly
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with customs regulations
• Experience in air imports would be an advantage but is not essential

Requirements:

• Proven experience in road freight import operations
• Knowledge of UK customs procedures and import regulations
• Experience with systems such as Cargowise, Sequoia, or Multifreight
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence preferred
