A returning client of ours in the logistics/freight forwarding industry is looking for an Assistant Accountant/ Credit controller/General Accounts person to join their finance department. This role is fully office based, Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm (there is parking available off site) 

Job Spec:

• Credit control experience
• Monitoring customer accounts
• Chasing payments and overdue invoices
• Maintaining and updating credit limits for customers
• Aged debtor reporting
• Payment/ receipt allocations
• Customer/ supplier account reconciliation
• Bank reconciliation
• Overhead invoices
• Journal postings
• Excel, vlookup, pivot tables
• Attention to detail
• Good communication, organisation, and time management
• Basic accounting principles

Key experience:

• At least 3 years plus experience within general accounts and credit control
• Experience from working in the freight forwarding or logistics industry
• Experienced in using Sage 50 or Boxtop is desirable. 
• Strong bank reconciliations experience, overhead invoicing and journal postings is a must.
