We're hiring for a Mechanical Assembler to join a well-established engineering manufacturer in Chapel-en-le-Frith offering strong hourly rates, a 4-day working week and consistent overtime opportunities.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone from an engineering, construction, or trade background who's confident using tools, working from drawings, and assembling large-scale components.

* £15.45 - £17.89 per hour (depending on shift)

* 4-day week (rotating shifts)

* 5am - 2:30pm / 2:30pm - 12am

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Assembler?

* Carrying out sub-assembly of hoisting equipment

* Using hand and power tools (drills, electrical tools)

* Assisting with assembly of large-scale mechanical components

* Working from engineering drawings and instructions

* Performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and standards

* Packing finished hoists securely onto pallets

* Supporting general production and assembly tasks

* Occasional FLT usage where required

What will you need?

* Previous experience in mechanical assembly, engineering, construction, or a trade role

* Confident using hand and power tools

* Ability to read and work from technical drawings

* Good attention to detail and quality standards

* A reliable, hands-on approach and willingness to work in a team
