Design Engineer to join them on a 6-month contract.
Design EngineerJob Description - Create CAD models for parts and tooling and run simulations using FEA to determine how the material will behave during the forging process.
- Collaborate directly with the teams in Manufacturing and Production to identify and resolve problems and minimize the occurrence of faults.
- Streamline the design process, cut down on excess material use, and improve accuracy in the design process.
- Produce engineering drawings to the BS8888 specifications. Work across multiple teams to ensure smooth implementation of design modifications.
Design EngineerEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering or relevant technical degree
- Experienced in FEA for stress analysis
- Proficient in Siemens NX preferably, SolidWorks will be considered
- Familiar with GD&T and 2D Technical Drawings
