On behalf of our client, a global leader in specialised technical services, we are seeking a talented and meticulous Commercial Analyst to join their dedicated team in Wokingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially-minded individual with exceptional analytical skills to play a pivotal role in a department focused on maximising revenues and delivering significant cost savings. You will be the go-to expert for technical issues, providing crucial support across the business.

  • Location : Wokingham (hybrid working)
  • Salary : up to £35,000

The Role

As a Commercial Analyst, you will be directly responsible for reducing the ownership costs of high-value equipment by managing and recovering benefits tied to performance guarantees. Your work will have a direct and measurable impact on commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse supplier performance data to generate and manage penalty claims related to contractual guarantees, such as Shop Processing Time and Turnaround Time.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of commercial contracts to enforce terms, manage remedies, and recover all associated benefits for the customer.
  • Liaise and negotiate directly with suppliers to seek clarification, challenge unjustified decisions, and secure financial credits.
  • Maintain the integrity of crucial data within the company’s systems, including the Shop Processing Time database.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, such as Strategic Sourcing, to ensure the enforcement of contract guarantees.
  • Support the department manager with a broad range of technical projects designed to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

You'll be a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with experience in a commercially focused, data-driven environment.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with strong skills in analysing and interpreting substantial datasets.
  • Proven experience reading and interpreting complex commercial contracts to extract pertinent information that supports financial claims.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build rapport and manage relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Experience in a customer or supplier-facing role, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organisational levels.
  • A focused and methodical approach to managing your workload, with strong time management skills and an ability to prioritise effectively.
  • A resourceful individual who uses their initiative and has a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • A passion for or experience in a technical services or engineering-focused industry is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of service agreements from major equipment manufacturers would be a distinct advantage.
