I'm working on behalf of a brilliant special school in the Devizes area that are looking for an SEND Teaching Assistant to join the school from either ASAP or September. The school looks after a range of special needs & disabilities for students aged 11-19.
The school are well established in the area and I can say first hand from candidates we've placed in the school over the years that you will be well supported throughout - whether that's from SLT or other TA's at the school.
The role
The school currently have a couple of long-term gaps. What is non negotiable for the school is receiving applications from candidates that are available full-time/log term, as the students require that consistency and the school would like to make the successful applicants permanent.
You would be providing support as a general classroom support but a lot of this will support will be 1-1 centred. Due to the complex needs of the students, you will be expected to have worked with SEND children before - preferably within a school setting.
