About this Role:
Fawkes and Reece are assisting a Tier 1 contractor with recruiting a Senior/Lead Planner to work on a £100m water contract in Bournemouth.

The contract involves NEC3 Options C and is operated on P6 software - Other programme communication tools will also be required to be produced, predominately from the Microsoft Office suite of programs.

Scope of works consists of demolition, piling, significant pipework installation of diameters 450mm > 1200mm, power and comms ducting, access roads, multiple below-ground tanks, utilising heavy civils temporary works, complete with infrastructure and inspection galleries, process building construction, and fit out, inlet works, cross-site MEICA to all new elements, including test, commission, and integration.

Duties Include:

Design and construct water treatment plant improvements
Take the lead with client interfaces
Develop and monitor works target cost programme, with the detailed design when received
Working closely with the operations team made of agents, engineers and foremen
Leading the weekly look-ahead planning and programme meetings
As expected with a senior planning role, regular identification of change and early warning matters are an absolute, requiring communication and production of assessments with the commercial team to manage any contract changes.
Person Specification

Strong leadership, management, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communicator able to liaise with different stakeholders
Proactive, enthusiastic individual with a collaborative approach and good attention to detail
Proven capability working on NEC3 contracts and extensive experience of P6
Operational civil engineering experience before moving into a planning role is also highly desired
MEICA water experience is desirable
