The company's Reading office is made up of approximately 100 staff who work across planning and design disciplines. The office is located in a modern, open-plan and high quality premises in Central Reading - just 5 minutes' walk from Reading train station!

Our clients established and busy Planning team has an exciting opportunity for a talented, dynamic and ambitious Graduate Planner to join their team to work on a broad range of planning projects, including a wide range of residential, mixed use, retail, strategic land and commercial proposals, of various types and scales, including exciting regeneration and place making opportunities.

Their clients include house builders, land owner clients, Universities and land promotion companies. The team is hugely experienced employing a number of Associates and Senior Planners.

The successful candidate will support planning and delivering projects and assisting with further raising our profile across the Thames Valley, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire regions to build on the teams' success to date.


-Working as part of a team on large scale residential, mixed use and commercial developments (both Brownfield and Greenfield) through the Local Development Framework

-Assisting with Co-ordination of multi-disciplinary project teams and project management

-Conducting research and site appraisals on projects for our client base

-Assisting with major applications (Outline, Full, Sub Framework Plan and Reserved Matters) including; attending meetings, preparation of meeting minutes, deliverable trackers, programmes, drafting planning statements, public consultation and responses to consultees

-Assisting in the preparation, submission and negotiation of small / medium sized planning applications

-Drafting policy representations

-Developing client relationships

About You

-Planning degree or simialr

-Have experience of working on residential, mixed use and commercial developments

-Planning experience and technical knowledge and a willingness to learn.

-Strong communications skills

-Knowledge of planning in the Thames Valley region

-Some consultancy experience
