We're recruiting an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a nurturing, values-led children's home in Bridgend, supporting one young person in a dedicated single-occupancy setting.

This is a rewarding leadership role where you'll lead shifts, role-model best practice, and provide consistent, trauma-informed care in a safe and stable environment. The Role:

Act as Shift Leader, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and consistency

*

Provide child-centred, trauma-informed support tailored to the young person's individual needs

*

Promote emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive outcomes

*

Complete care planning, daily records, and reports in line with regulations

*

Work collaboratively with managers, professionals, and external agencies

*

Mentor and support Residential Support Workers, including new starters

*

Maintain a calm, safe, and structured environment at all times

About You:

*

Level 3 Children & Young People qualification (essential)

*

Previous experience in a children's residential setting

*

Confident leading shifts and making decisions in challenging situations

*

Resilient, calm, empathetic, and genuinely child-focused

*

Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
