Commercial Site Farm Worker

Location: Ickburgh Area

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30am to 04:00pm, Friday 3pm finish, either a Saturday and Sunday morning and occasionally back for PM checks on these days.

Salary: £12.35 p/h and £16.46 p/h at weekends.

Job Duties:

* Maintain and improve high animal welfare standards.

* Support efficient achievement of target mortality rates.

* Follow strict health and safety protocols.

* Keep accurate, up-to-date records for the site manager.

* Manage daily poultry needs including feeding, watering, bedding, ventilation, and movement.

* Report any bird or equipment issues promptly to the site manager.

* Communicate regularly with management and team to ensure smooth operations.

* Conduct evening site checks when needed.

* Assist with general farm duties such as duck catching, muck removal, and pressure washing.

* Monitor stock levels and report shortages.

* Comply with all company policies as per the handbook.

* Ensure the health and welfare of the poultry on site.

* Promote a positive, safe, and efficient team environment.

* Perform additional poultry farming tasks as assigned.

What we are looking for:

* Previous experience in poultry farming or animal care is preferred.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

* Reliable, flexible, and willing to work weekends when required.
