Our client, Manchester City council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Duty & Assessment Team

Responsibilities of this role:
- Respond to new referrals and safeguarding concerns.
- Complete initial assessments to identify risk and need.
- Make decisions on appropriate next steps, including Early Help, Child in Need, or Child Protection pathways.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals, and other agencies.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records.
- Apply relevant legislation and statutory guidance to all decisions.
- Manage a fast-paced caseload with strict timescales.
- Participate in strategy discussions and multi-agency planning meetings.
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
