Our client, Manchester City council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Duty & Assessment Team

Responsibilities of this role:

• Respond to new referrals and safeguarding concerns.
• Complete initial assessments to identify risk and need.
• Make decisions on appropriate next steps, including Early Help, Child in Need, or Child Protection pathways.
• Work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals, and other agencies.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records.
• Apply relevant legislation and statutory guidance to all decisions.
• Manage a fast-paced caseload with strict timescales.
• Participate in strategy discussions and multi-agency planning meetings.

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
