SEND Teaching Assistant

About the Role: As a SEND Teaching Assistant at our school in Southwark, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a non-verbal child with ASD on a 1-2-1 basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a child's life and develop your career.

Responsibilities:

* Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a Reception pupil with SEN.* Implement effective communication techniques tailored to the child's needs.* Assist the child in their daily activities and learning tasks.* Support the child's active participation in class and recreational activities.* Be prepared to provide personal care when necessary.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant* Knowledge of PECS* Strong understanding of communication strategies* Empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting children with special educational needs.* Ability to adapt and work closely with the teaching team and parents.* Relevant qualifications in education and training are a plus.

Salary: We offer a competitive daily rate of £85-£110 per day, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
