Quantity Surveyor - Tier 1 Main Contractor

Location: London
Project Based/Office Based, with flexibility for occasional remote working

We are looking for an experienced and talented Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 Contractor and assist the Commercial Team with quantity surveying duties in conjunction with other team members and provide effective financial and contractual control on all contracts allocated within the London Business unit. This position is project based, with flexibility for occasional remote working.

The Projects

My client works within an array of sectors including but not limited to: Commercial, Residential, Retail, Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences, Healthcare, Industrial, Leisure and Education. They turnover circa £1.5Bn and opt to build quality over quantity.

The Position:

You would be reporting into the Commercial Manager and act as commercial lead, running the day-to-day duties, overseeing a PQS and an AQS. Responsible for cash management, by minimising cost and maximising value through proactive analysis and facilitation of works packages and the building process to maximise profitability for the business. Produce and issue accurate and timely CVCs ensuring preliminary and material costs/forecasts are managed.
