Haringey is a diverse and vibrant borough in North London, encompassing areas like Tottenham, Wood Green, and Highgate. As we prepare to become the London Borough of Culture in 2027, there's no better time to join our Adult Social Care service.

About the RoleAs a Social Worker in the Assessment Team, you'll be the first point of contact for adults seeking support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting Care Act assessments to identify care and support needs

  • Developing person-centred care plans that promote independence

  • Collaborating with health professionals, housing services, and community organisations

  • Utilising a strengths-based approach to empower residents

You'll work within one of our three locality teams:

  • East: Tottenham

  • Central: Wood Green, Harringay, West Green

  • West: Hornsey, Alexandra Park, Crouch End, Highgate, Muswell Hill

About YouWe're looking for Social Workers who:

  • Have a solid understanding of the Care Act 2014 and related legislation

  • Are skilled in conducting assessments and developing care plans

  • Can work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders

  • Are committed to promoting independence and wellbeing
