Are you a senior operations professional looking for a new challenge? Are you looking to help a medium sized business (20 staff or so) grow and fulfil their exciting expansion plans. Are you working within a small business who has maybe been acquired by a large firm? My client is a wealth planning practice based in Surrey who have been operating for 20+ years, and I have placed 5 members of staff into the business. They have an excellent reputation providing very solid financial advice to both private and corporate clients who lives in Surrey, Sussex & Hampshire. They have a large book of business (close to £300m AUM) who are City professionals, families, retirees, and business owners with £500k to invest on average and their top customer holding £15m+ to invest. This boutique firm has a team of Chartered Advisers and a full administrative and paraplanning team.

The business has a very ambitious 5-year growth plan, and the Managing Director is seeking a brand Operations Director to lead the strategic delivery of this growth plan. You will have a proven track record of delivery in a similar role within financial services whether it be wealth management, investment management, asset management or similar of delivering a strategic growth plan and growing a business from an operational perspective. The Managing Director will not be selling the business or becoming part of a network or similar. You will be supported by an experienced team of administrators, paraplanners, operations and practice management. You will sit on the board of directors and the executive team and have a leading say in the running of the business moving forward.

  • Senior leadership experience in a regulated financial services or wealth management firm
  • Proven success in leading multi-disciplinary teams across multiple sites
  • Deep understanding of FCA regulations, risk management and operational governance
  • Strong strategic thinking with a hands-on, solutions-focused mindset
  • Track record of delivering major change and transformation projects
  • Passion for client service and operational excellence
  • Commercial awareness and ability to drive efficiency and profitability
  • Experience in scaling businesses and managing through growth or acquisition phases
