Summary:
An amazing new opportunity has arisen to have the chance of working alongside a major engineering contractor that specialises in the development of major nuclear projects across the UK and world driven by a talent force of nuclear experts. The need is for you as a Mechanical engineer to be responsible for the overall planning and coordinating all engineering processes and design activities through the project phase. The opportunity will allow you to oversee the implementation of all engineering solutions, to ensure a successful project development.

Job Description:
As a senior Mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for the planning of all design activities throughout the project phase. Your responsibilities as a Senior Mechanical engineer will include:
 
Developing and implementing engineering solutions for complex engineering projects, from concept design proposals through to design for manufacture, the full project life cycle
Identifying design, statutory and regulatory requirements, and contributing to risk assessments
Producing technical reports, technical specifications, and scoping calculations
Reviewing technical deliverables, including reports and drawings
Presenting engineering solutions to stakeholders and as part of design reviews
Qualifications and key skills:
You will need to be degree qualified in Mechanical engineering or equivalent (e.g., HNC/HND with significant experience) in engineering discipline.
You will need to be attained/ working towards chartered or incorporated status with a recognised professional body (e.g IMeche)
Ideally you will be experienced working within highly regulated environments.
You will need experience of crane/ lifting equipment design.
Experience with AutoDesk products (inventor)
You will have a familiarity with CE marking, CDM, PUWER, LOLER, PED, machinery directive.
