A well-established engineering manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing design and development team. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative electrical system projects from concept through to completion, in a collaborative environment where ideas are encouraged and valued.

The Role

Design and develop electro-mechanical systems using 3D CAD software (Creo or similar)

Apply best-practice design methodologies such as Design for Excellence

Work with sheet metal, plastic components, and electrical busbar systems

Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (IEC, BS equivalents)

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are production-ready

Manage projects from initial concept through to delivery

About You

Strong background in electro-mechanical design

Skilled in 3D CAD packages

Understanding of electrical system performance, thermal dissipation, and short-circuit ratings

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and applicable industry standards

Strong problem-solving abilities with an eagerness to learn and innovate
