Leader Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist SEND school in Ashington, Northumberland.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

 The Role

Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs
Assist in delivering personalised learning activities
Support social, emotional, and behavioural development
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCO, and wider support staff
Monitor and record progress in line with EHCP targets
Promote inclusion, independence, and wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable)
Be patient, resilient, and empathetic
Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
Be adaptable and proactive in supporting individual needs
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
