Operations Manager (Waste Collections)

Salary: £40,000 per annum plus performance bonus, car allowance & pension

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Location: Poole, Dorset

What you'll be doing;
  • You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of operatives, staff, and site-based support, ensuring site capability and capacity is maximised - all while maintaining the highest levels of customer service and team wellbeing.
  • Champion the safety and wellbeing of all employees and those affected by our operations.
  • Implement people management processes in line with company policy.
  • Ensure all training and competency checks are in place across all roles.
  • Manage operations against Veolia Minimum Requirements (VMR).
  • Utilise data and Power BI to drive operational performance improvements.
  • Drive efficiencies to maximise profitability.
  • Manage Waste Transfer Station operations.
  • Act as Nominated Transport Manager, taking overall responsibility for fleet management and compliance.

What we're looking for;
  • Transport CPC
  • Level 3 Leadership & Management (or equivalent work experience)
  • Previous waste management experience
  • Previous fleet management experience
  • IOSH Managing Safely - desirable
