CAD Technician – Roofing & Cladding

Job Title: Draughtsperson – Roofing & Cladding

Office Based: Norfolk

Remuneration: £35,000 - £45,000

The role of the CAD Technician – Roofing & Cladding will involve:

• CAD Technician role dealing with a range of new build and refurbishment, roofing & cladding projects
• Create a range of detailed technical drawings based from each project
• Liaise with internal project managers and architects
• Prepare and submit roofing & cladding drawings to customers
• Site visits may be required project dependant, typically once per month
• Ensure that drawings are approved in a timely manner in line with installation dates
• Update CRM and Excel with relevant contract information and progression
• Working on projects varying in value from £15k to £2m

The ideal applicant will be a CAD Draughtsperson – Platform Lifts with:

• Must have AutoCAD experience dealing with layout drawings / setting out drawings / general arrangement drawings
• Preferably have experience within the roofing and cladding sector although would be open to; building envelope, curtain walling, weatherproofing or façades
• Sound understanding of technical drawings
• Ideally AutoCAD 2D and 3D experience
• High levels of organisation and attention to detail
• IT literate (Microsoft office)
• Good literacy and numeracy skills and good communication skills – both verbal and written
