We have a fantastic opportunity for a
Junior Service Desk Analyst tojoin our team based nationally with flexible working.The salary on offer is from £25,000 and this will be a 12 month FTC.
About the role: The Service Desk Assistant ensure the efficient and timely fulfilment of logistics and administrative aspects of IT service requests, both remotely and onsite. This includes coordinating hardware deliveries and collections, managing supplier relationships, and supporting day-to-day service desk operations. The role liaises with multiple suppliers and third parties, is often handling sensitive or conflicting operational issues, to maintain high standards of service across NHSPS.
What you will bring to the role:- Act as the first point of contact for administrative and logistical tasks, supporting with hardware requests, deliveries, collections, and returns.
- Manage hardware logistics with suppliers, including booking collections/deliveries, Tech Bar operations, and updating asset records in the system.
- Raise purchase orders for IT equipment logistics, maintain Standard Operating Procedures, and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Assist with laptop builds and configuration to support new colleague onboarding and ensure readiness of devices for deployment.
- Work with external suppliers and service providers to resolve issues, implement updates, and ensure quality of service to NHSPS staff.
- Undertake training to support effective use of technologies and promote good practice in equipment and data handling across the organisation.
- Provide additional support to the IT Service Desk for incident and problem management, liaising with colleagues and third parties as needed.
