Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting experienced and resilient Behaviour Mentors to join a dynamic Secondary SEMH School in Enfield from January 2026.

This specialist setting supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, autism and a range of behaviour-related challenges. The school provides a therapeutic, structured and highly supportive environment where staff work collaboratively to help pupils rebuild confidence, regulate emotions and re-engage positively with learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small-group behavioural support across Key Stages 3 and 4

Implement positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques

Support students in regulating emotions and managing behaviour appropriately

Work closely with teachers, the pastoral team and the SENDCo to deliver personalised behaviour plans

Build strong, trusting relationships with students to promote resilience and self-esteem

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour (SEMH, PRU, SEND or alternative provision experience highly desirable)

Strong behaviour management skills and confidence in de-escalation

A calm, empathetic and patient approach

Team Teach or similar training (highly advantageous)

A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
