SALARY: Up to £540 per day Ltd Company Engagement

The successful candidates will have the relevant skills and experience specified below for this 6 month temporary contract based in the South West/Swindon. Please Note: This assignment sits outside of IR35. This is a Limited Company Engagement.

Job Description:

Takes responsibility for the definition; documentation and safe execution of a single major project or a number of smaller initiatives; actively participating in all phases of the project. Identifies; assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Effectively estimates costs; timescales and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the project(s) to agreed terms of reference. Ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and tracks all activities against the plan; providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders; as appropriate. Monitors and forecasts costs; timescales and resources used; and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensures that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria. Manages the change control procedure; ensures that change is captured; impact assessed and approved and ensures that project deliverables are completed within planned cost; timescale and resource budgets; and are signed off. Gains agreement for revisions to the project(s) from project sponsors. Provides effective leadership to the project team ensuring that team members are motivated and developing their skills and experience. Takes appropriate action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances. Actively represents the project team; ensuring that effective relationships are built and maintained with the business. Ensures that own projects are formally closed and; where appropriate; subsequently reviewed; and that lessons learned are captured and actioned. Produces appropriate documentation to support these processes.

Project Management - Prince2 or DSDM Degree or equivalent ISEB/IIBA or similar Business Analysis Certification.

Key Tasks & Deliverables:

UK SBS supports an integrated suite of Grants Systems comprising a customised Oracle Siebel CRM, a bespoke .Net external transactional web system, Oracle EBusiness suite and OBIEE – with Oracle Fusion Middleware (FMW) providing the integration middleware. There are a number of change project either underway or planed for various components within this suite of grants systems, these projects include scoping changes to functionality, upgrade of software versions and change of hosting platform The purpose of this role is to manage this suite of projects, and where applicable provide additional business analysis input to the team. UK SBS use both agile and waterfall methodologies depending on the nature of the project. Delivery of individual plans to quality, time and budget Coordination of multiple plans Liaison with other PM and alignment of plans across a portfolio Management of multiple stakeholders Provide appropriate documentation including business plans and requirements Managements of risk and dependencies across projects Provide project leadership for both agile and waterfall methodologies. Deliver projects to time, to cost and to quality Ensure adherence to project management methodologies Prepare reports and reviews on a timely basis with Project Boards and stakeholders Produce plans and monitor progress against KPIs Reports to the UK SBS Head of PMO, operating as part of the Business Change Team under matrix management Working with senior stakeholders from clients and delivery partners Working with the Architecture team to highlight and address the impact on business processes and ensure that appropriate design governance is in place. Working with delivery teams, their line managers and technical staff. Working with management; their line managers and staff.

Experience Required: 

Proven experience of leading complex projects from initiation to successful completion demonstrating project management skills Excellent working knowledge of both agile and waterfall project management frameworks disciplines and practices Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to build teams and lead them to deliver successfully Strong influencing and communications skills, with experience of writing project documentation Strong planning skills including the ability provide robust time and cost estimates Ability to multi-task and to prioritise effectively Ability to see the wider picture and not just the issues associated with a specific problem ERP or complex systems delivery and upgrade experience, especially Oracle Siebel CRM, Oracle EBusiness suite and/or Oracle Fusion Middleware (FMW) Working within a multi-customer environment Proven ability to manage and facilitate change
