Mechanical Maintenance Fitter

Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our well established client.

The Role:

* Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will form part of the maintenance team who will perform preventative maintenance, installation work, breakdown repairs and general maintenance on a variety of plant and equipment types.

Responsibilities:

* Perform a Task Specific Risk Assessment for each task and follow relevant SOPs; any deviations must be approved by the Maintenance Team Leader.

* Report significant issues during or after a task and be available for redeployment.

* Follow company rules and permits; ensure equipment is isolated and safe before work begins.

* Complete tasks with the area left clean, safe, and all guards refitted.

* Correctly book out parts from stores and attribute cost codes.

* Report plant issues affecting safety or reliability.

* Wear appropriate PPE at all times and ensure lifting equipment is in good condition.

* Maintain housekeeping in the workshop and maintenance areas.

* Operate equipment and company vehicles safely.

* Safeguard personal and company tools; return all tools to proper storage and report any damage.

* Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Energy policies.

Requirements:

* Experience working in heavy manufacturing industry.

* Apprenticeship trained in Mechanical Engineering.

* Safety culture awareness.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Reliability and good timekeeping.

* Ability to work as part of a team.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm.

Starting Salary: £41,065 Per Annum.
