Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist SEN school based in Coventry. This is a full-time position, running Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm), and involves supporting young people with additional needs on both a 1:1 and small group basis.

Our partner school in Coventry caters for pupils aged 4 to 19 with a range of severe and complex learning difficulties, including autism spectrum conditions, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and associated medical needs. The school prides itself on offering tailored, personalised support through the use of individual Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) to help each student overcome barriers to learning.

In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver targeted interventions and assist with daily classroom activities. You will provide additional support to students both individually and in small groups, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. Candidates should also be prepared to assist with personal care as required and contribute to positive behaviour management strategies within the school.

Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment, patience, and resilience
• A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
