Tradewind Recruitment is looking for dedicated, adaptable and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of Special Schools, PRUs and ARPs throughout the Camden borough.

This role is ideal for those seeking flexibility-perfect for balancing university, part-time study or other commitments. You choose the days you're available, and we'll place you in settings that best match your skills and experience.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll help pupils with diverse additional needs to access learning, develop confidence and independence, and maintain positive behaviour across a range of year groups and school environments.

What We're Looking For

Flexible, adaptable TAs confident working across different schools, age groups and needs

Experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH or behavioural needs

Calm, patient and resilient individuals

Candidates available full-time or part-time, with the freedom to choose their working days

A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs

Strong communicators who work effectively alongside teachers, pastoral teams and external professionals

Reliable, punctual individuals committed to having a positive impact

Essential Requirements

Experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, behavioural needs)

Understanding of differentiated learning and scaffolding support

Ability to follow behaviour plans and support de-escalation strategies

Patience, empathy and strong relationship-building skills

Confidence supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups

Adaptability across different key stages and school types

Willingness to learn and follow safeguarding procedures

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

A proactive, positive attitude
