Yard Operative - Excellent Opportunity with a Growing Business

We're currently working with a well-established and expanding client in the construction supply sector who is looking to add an experienced Yard Operative to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in building materials or a similar trade environment who thrives in a busy, customer-facing role. The role is based in Somerset area.

The Role

As a Yard Operative, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of a busy trade yard. You'll be responsible for:

Receiving, checking, and safely storing incoming stock

*

Picking and preparing orders for customer collection or delivery

*

Loading and unloading vehicles quickly and safely

*

Delivering outstanding customer service to trade and retail visitors

*

Maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring the yard remains clean and organised

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, with:

*

A valid Forklift Licence (essential)

*

A full UK Driving Licence (essential)

*

Previous experience with building materials or trade products

*

Confidence and professionalism when dealing with customers

*

Prior experience in a yard, warehouse, or trade counter environment

*

A strong work ethic, team spirit, and attention to detail

Working Pattern

*

Week 1: Monday to Friday - 07:30 to 17:00

*

Week 2: Monday to Friday - 07:30 to 17:00
+ Saturday: 08:00 to 12:00
