We are working with a specialist SEN/SEMH day school in Colchester that is seeking a committed Graduate SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. This Teaching Assistant role involves supporting students with a range of SEN needs, emotional distress, mental health and social struggles as well as Autism and ADHD.
Job Overview:
This school caters for students between ages 10-16, who have additional SEN/SEMH needs.
Full-time, Monday - Friday, Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role (no personal care involved).
- Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support across ages 10-16.
- Support pupils with autism, ADHD, and associated barriers to learning within this Colchester setting.
- Assist with behaviour regulation strategies and personalised learning plans.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team in Colchester.
- Opportunity for a Long-Term position after summer term.

Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or a graduate with relevant experience.

- Calm, resilient and nurturing approach to behaviour management.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
