Secondary Cover Supervisor - Oldham
 

PK Education are seeking to appoint a hardworking and conscientious graduate who is looking to work within a secondary school in the Oldham area as a Cover Supervisor. This position requires liaising with the school cover manager and other staff in order to explain pre-planned tasks to classes of students when teachers are absent.  The successful candidate will need to be able to give clear instructions and support students with their work, where able.  We are looking for an organised and reliable candidate who is passionate about working with young people - this role would be ideal for somebody looking to undertake a PGCE in the future.

Ideal candidates will:

• Hold a degree
• Have experience working within a school, or with young people outside of a school setting
• Be organised, friendly and a flexible team player, with good interpersonal skills
• Have the confidence to apply school policies consistently and fairly
• Have strong communication skills

The role will consist of:

• Covering lessons across the curriculum
• Explaining pre-set work (planned by the school) to students and supporting them as they complete tasks
• Encouraging students to stay on task and applying school policies consistently
