Reed Further Education are working with Colleges, Sixth forms and 16+ providers to secure experienced Learning Support Workers/LSW, Learning Support Practitioners/LSP, Teaching Assistants/TA, Learning Mentors, Learning Support Assistants/LSA and Learning Coaches to support their additional needs learners on a temporary ongoing basis.
Role: Learning Support Assistant Location: South East LondonHours: Mon-Fri 9-4pm (must be able to work 3-5 days per week)Duration: Temporary ongoing (until approx. June 2026)
The Learning Support Assistant role :
• Supporting learners with mild-moderate learning difficulties/challenging behaviour
• Supporting with reading, scribing, wellbeing, encouragement and motivation
• Creating and reviewing SMART goals
What the Learning Support Assistant Will Need:
• Previous supporting students in an education setting
• SEN/Challenging Behaviours experience (PMLD & SEND) OR
• Experience with Personal Care or Manual Handling
Learning support Assitants in the following areas:
• Communication Difficulties - BSL/Makaton
• PMLD & SEND (ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome etc.)
