Do you have experience in Business, Management or a related commercial field - and are you looking to move into teaching? We are seeking an enthusiastic part-time Lecturer in Business to join our growing team at the Aylesbury Campus.

We deliver a range of BTEC and T Level Business & Management Programmes, designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge and confidence to progress into higher education or directly into employment. Business continues to be one of our most popular subject areas, with strong applications, high levels of student engagement and excellent achievement and progression outcomes.

Our curriculum covers a wide range of business topics such as marketing, finance, event planning, business environments, entrepreneurship, management and employability skills. Through a mix of academic study and vocationally relevant project work, we encourage students to develop professional behaviours, workplace readiness, and the confidence to succeed in a fast‑moving business world.

We are now looking for a motivated and committed Business specialist to help us continue delivering high‑quality teaching and to support learners in achieving their full potential. The successful candidate will take a lead on our Events Management (Business & Tourism) Level 3 Study Programme.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Contribute to Buckinghamshire College Group's pursuit of excellence.
  • Use own current professional and academic experience to deliver aspirational, engaging learning opportunities
  • Promote high levels of student ambition
  • Deliver face to face classes to a range of 16-19yr students.
  • Encourage creative assessment and development of industry skills.

Taking Teaching Further

The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation's Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education.

As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight, we support our unqualified teachers to learn 'on the job'. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
