Salary: £70 - £85/day

Are you an ECT Graduate that is looking for an exciting role to build their classroom experience? One of our welcoming schools in Chorlton, Manchester are urgently looking for ECTs to work in a HLTA position to offer their support and expertise to its children. It will involve you working closely with SEN pupils. This position is ideal for ECT Graduates to develop their confidence and experience in a full-time, short-term position that begins in January 2023. The pay for this role would be between £70-£85 per day.

To succeed in this Teaching Assistant role, you will have to:

Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
Provide a CV with full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
Have the legal right to work in the UK
Have experience working in Primary School classes
Have qualified with QTS or PCGE status

This wonderful Primary School is located in Chorlton. The staff, headteachers and parents have high expectations for the teaching and learning of their children. The school is looking to set up an SEN Provision and wants the candidate to help support these children in Early Years and KS2. The school has a broad and holistic Primary Curriculum to fully help their pupils flourish with the necessary knowledge they need. The school also aims to maintain excellent standards of behaviour and in its quality of teaching.

About the Role

As a HLTA, you will be supporting a diverse range of children that have different needs and capabilities. You will be working with children who have attachment issues and complex learning difficulties. Some of these children may have learning development gaps, which means they can be stuck at critical development ages. You candidate will be able to support these children effectively and have teaching strategies that will support a positive and calm outcome. You should be an excellent communicator that ideally has experience across Early Years, KS1 and KS2 classes. The candidate needs to have a good understanding of the Primary Curriculum and be willing to effectively support the class teacher.
