‍ Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Secondary School | September Start

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your career?
We are seeking a committed and proactive HLTA to join a dynamic secondary school in the Colchester area from September 2025.

Location: Colchester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Salary: £90 - £125 per day

The Role:

Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a range of subjects
Deliver small group interventions and, where appropriate, lead full class sessions in the absence of a teacher
Assist with planning and adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs
Provide targeted 1:1 support to students with SEND or additional needs
Help maintain a positive learning environment and manage behaviour effectively
Liaise with teaching staff to monitor student progress and support learning goals

What We're Looking For:

HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Previous experience in a secondary school setting
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
A positive, flexible, and professional approach
Commitment to supporting student progress and wellbeing
