About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with experienced teachers to support the growth and progress of pupils across the classroom. This engaging, hands-on role is ideal for someone eager to bring psychological theory-such as child development, behaviour, and emotional well-being-into a meaningful and impactful educational setting.

You'll be supporting children with a variety of needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access learning, build self-confidence, and strengthen essential social and emotional skills. Whether working one-to-one or in small groups, you'll play a key role in fostering a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom
Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils
Assisting children with SEN or additional needs
Helping manage classroom behaviour positively and effectively
Promoting emotional well-being and social interaction
Observing and reporting on pupil progressThe ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, empathetic, and adaptable, with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for working with children. While previous experience in a school setting is a bonus, it's not essential-what matters most is a willingness to learn and a commitment to helping children succeed.
