About the Company
A precision engineering and manufacturing business supplying components to multiple sectors is offering a permanent opportunity for a motivated CNC professional. This position offers autonomy to take ownership of the machine shop, lead a growing team, and drive production excellence.

The Role
As CNC Team Leader, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the machine shop, managing workflow and supporting machinists across CNC mills, lathes, and machining centres. You'll be hands-on with programming, setting, and operating, while ensuring quality, efficiency, and team development remain at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead, manage, and support the CNC machining team

* Read and interpret engineering drawings to plan production requirements

* Programme, set, and operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, and machining centres)

* Estimate setup and run times, tooling, and material needs

* Adjust speeds, feeds, and tooling for precision and accuracy

* Perform routine maintenance and ensure safe workshop operations

* Inspect finished parts to maintain high-quality standards

* Drive continuous improvement and workflow efficiency

About You:

* Skilled in programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery

* Strong understanding of tooling, materials, and machining processes

* Proven experience managing or leading a machine shop team

* Excellent problem-solving skills and technical knowledge

* Ability to work from complex engineering drawings independently

* Organised, proactive, and committed to quality and team development
