A primary school in Ealing, West London are looking for an enthusiastic and creative practitioner to take on the role of EYFS Coordinator from September 2019. This EYFS Coordinator/Early Years Phase Leader position has arisen due to an internal promotion and now presents an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to lead the Foundation Stage. The school are looking for a career-minded lead teacher who feels ready for school-wide leadership or a current caring EYFS Coordinator/Early Years Phase Leader looking for a new challenge. Any EYFS Coordinator/Early Years Phase Leader ‘s application that can display experience of working in an inner-city school and show relevant experience of teaching children with Special Educational Needs will be well considered. It is expected that you will have the drive to train colleagues effectively and use your passion for Early Years education as a strong motivating factor.
As an EYFS Coordinator/Early Years Phase Leader at this school you will contribute to EYFS improvement and development whilst communicating directly with the SLT. Your responsibilities will include sharing your time and energy between the duties of a Primary Teacher and the new-found responsibilities that come with the EYFS Coordinator/Early Years Phase Leader title. You will have responsibility of controlling the use, allocation and ultimately upkeep of departmental resources to ensure your team can work effectively. As an EYFS Coordinator you will be developing the curriculum content and keeping abreast of trends and changes to ensure the objectives set out by the primary school are met. You will need to secure the effective teaching and learning throughout the school by evaluating and monitoring the quality of teaching and standards. This ‘Good’ school is in an economically deprived area of West London but is renowned for their exceptional SATS results and overall standards of literacy. The school are keen to lay the basis of this in the EYFS and their Reception classes are always learning new words in all areas of the curriculum.
