Tradewind, Manchester are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at a primary SEN school in the north Manchester area.

Start ASAP in Sept 2022.
Full time & long term.
Mon-Fri 8:30am-3:30pm.
Pay up to £80/day.
Could turn permanent eventually for the right person.
Work 1:1 or in small groups.
Access to ongoing training.
Excellent facilities & transport connections.
You must have some prior experience of supporting young people at primary age either in a care or education setting.

You will be required to support pupils in small groups or sometimes on a 1:1 basis with learning but also with their additional needs that may include sensory, communication, physical, emotional or behavioural needs.

The school is rated outstanding by Ofsted and caters for young people aged 3-11 with Autism & Complex Needs. Children are grouped by level and need rather than age. There is a warm, welcoming and supportive atmosphere with a real team spirit so they need the new SEN Teaching Assistant to have a similar commitment to teamwork and a willingness to contribute to a positive work environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn from skilled and experienced professionals and improve your ability as an all-round TA that can provide the bet support to all pupils.

To join us and be successful in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

Some experience supporting children with Special Needs, SEN.
Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one), Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
