Prospero Teaching are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of History to join a forward-thinking secondary school in the Cullompton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, within a supportive and high-achieving Humanities department.

The Role
  • Deliver engaging and high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teach a GCSE curriculum including:Medicine Through Time, Early Elizabethan England (#removed#), Superpower Relations (Cold War), and Germany #removed#
  • Contribute to a broad and diverse KS3 curriculum exploring a wide range of historical themes and periods
  • Plan and deliver adaptive, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Support the wider life of the school through tutoring, extra-curricular involvement, and collaboration with colleagues
  • Assess, track and report on student progress in line with school policy
  • Promote a positive learning environment rooted in respect, ambition and high expectations
The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach History to GCSE
  • A passion for inspiring young people
  • Excellent communication and behaviour-management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusivity, and promoting positive student outcomes

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching the Edexcel GCSE History syllabus
  • Experience delivering high-impact interventions
  • Strong data analysis skills to inform teaching and planning
