SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH / EBD)

Our client school, located in the South Ockendon, Thurrock area of Essex are seeking a talented Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or behaviour mentor to join them from January 2024.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of supporting pupils with Emotional and behavioural disorders (EBD) and or Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Experience of supporting any of the following needs would be an advantage.

ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, Autism (ASD) Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD / EBD)
Challenging Behaviour, global Development Delay (GDD) or Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)

The successful candidate will:
Have a passion for improving the educational and life chances of children and young people
Be able to support individual pupils as well as small groups of pupils
Be a positive role model and offer encouragement and promote confidence
Assist with the planning of learning activities
