Year 1/2 Class Teacher - Maternity Cover

 Pay: Paid to scale (£170 - £233 per day)

About the Role

A charming 1 form entry school in Gosport is seeking an experienced  teacher to cover maternity leave starting January 2026. This is a role with full class teacher responsibilities, initially for two terms but could be extended into the following academic year.

You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a mixed Year 1/2  class, working closely with other teaching  colleagues to ensure support and consistency. The role includes full teaching responsibilities and offers the opportunity to contribute to wider school life.

What We're Looking For

Qualified Primary Teacher with experience in KS1
Confident in managing classroom routines and expectations.
Good behaviour management techniques .
Skilled in adapting teaching to meet a range of pupil needs, including SEND.
Requirements

UK-recognised teaching qualification.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
Compliance with DfE and Safer Recruitment standards.
