Your new role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a recognised organisation within the North Lincolnshire area. As Procurement Manager you will be responsible for leading a team and supporting the wider business to ensure cost effectiveness and a value added professional purchasing service. You will be responsible for the Health & Safety of the team, training and KPI achievements.

Key Duties:

Assisting with enquiries, supporting the estimating team on Material & Plant information.
Devising and using strategies to enhance procurement and sourcing gains
Discovering profitable suppliers and initiate business and organisation partnerships,
Develop alongside the Commercial Director and Contracts Director, and then manage, a Supply Chain Library (both Sub-Contractor and Material/Plant) and promote their use within the Business's
Negotiating with external vendors to secure advantageous terms & negotiate annual rate increases.
Build on existing relationships with our supply chain.
Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
Finalise purchase details of orders and deliveries
Examine and test existing contracts
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Collaborate with key persons, internally and externally to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
Support the Operation teams & assist with the Collation of the H & S files on project completion with our Contract Administrators.
Expect unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
Conduct monthly Procurement, Buying & stores meetings & present reports to your line Manager.
What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience within a Procurement/Purchasing Management
Construction experience is essential
Strong negotiation skills
Be meticulous, organised with a strong attention to detail
Commercial awareness with good analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure
People managerial skills (1-2 people)
