We are working with a well-established automation engineering company based in Rossendale who are looking to appoint a Permanent Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC commissioning experience who enjoys a mix of head office testing and hands-on site commissioning across the UK and Europe.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning automation systems both at head office and on customer sites.

Duties will include:

PLC commissioning with a strong focus on Siemens (TIA Portal / Step 7)

*

Commissioning of Allen Bradley / Rockwell systems

*

System testing, fault finding and validation

*

On-site commissioning across the UK and Europe

*

Supporting FAT and SAT processes

*

Working closely with controls engineers and project teams

*

Providing technical support during installation and start-up phases

Travel will form a key part of this role, with projects across the UK and Europe. When not on site, you will be based at the Rossendale head office supporting system testing and development.

Requirements

*

Proven experience commissioning automation systems

*

Strong working knowledge of Siemens PLCs

*

Experience with Allen Bradley / Rockwell PLCs

*

Ability to fault-find and modify PLC code where required

*

Flexible approach to travel (UK & Europe)

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on site

£40,000 - £55,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
